Call recording allows you to capture audio from befriending calls for transcription and analysis. This guide shows you how to enable or disable recording for individual befriending matches.

## Prerequisites

- Your organization must have call recording enabled in your account settings
- You must have permission to create or edit befriending matches

## Steps

### Step 1: Navigate to befriending matches

Go to the Befriending Matches page from your main navigation menu. You'll see a table listing all your active and inactive matches. In the Options column, look for the voicemail icon next to each match - this indicates whether recording is currently enabled for that match.

### Step 2: Open the match settings

Find the befriending match you want to modify and click the pencil (edit) button on the right side of its row. This will open the Edit Match dialog where you can adjust the match settings.

### Step 3: Toggle call recording

In the Edit Match dialog, scroll down to find the 'Record the calls' option with a voicemail icon. Click the toggle switch to turn recording on or off. When the toggle is green and positioned to the right, recording is enabled. When it's gray and positioned to the left, recording is disabled.

### Step 4: Save your changes

Click the Save button at the bottom of the dialog to apply your changes. The recording setting will now be active for all future calls between this caller and recipient. Existing call recordings are not affected by this change.

## Tips

- Recording is enabled by default when creating new matches if your account has this feature activated
- The voicemail icon in the matches table provides a quick way to see which matches have recording enabled without opening each one
- Recorded calls can be accessed from the View calls page for each match, where you'll also find AI-generated transcriptions and analysis

## Summary

You've successfully configured call recording for your befriending match. All future calls will be recorded (or not recorded) according to your selected setting, and you can change this at any time by editing the match again.
