The Befriending Matches page allows you to manage your 1-on-1 caller and recipient pairings. You can use filters to show only active matches and search to quickly find specific people by name. ## Prerequisites - You must have at least one befriending match set up in your account - You need access to the Befriending Matches section (available under the main navigation) ## Steps ### Step 1: Navigate to Befriending Matches From your main dashboard, click on the Befriending Matches link in the navigation menu. This will display a table showing all your current befriending matches with columns for Caller, Recipient, Options (showing video/phone icons and recording status), Status (Active or Inactive), and action buttons. ### Step 2: Use the Filter dropdown to show only active matches Click the 'Filter' button located on the left side above the matches table. This opens a dropdown menu with a checkbox labeled 'Hide inactive'. When this checkbox is checked (which is the default setting), the table will only display active matches. To see all matches including inactive ones, uncheck this box and click the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the dropdown. The filter setting will be remembered as you navigate through the application. ![Use the Filter dropdown to show only active matches](https://help.together.ly/rails/active_storage/blobs/proxy/eyJfcmFpbHMiOnsiZGF0YSI6NjksInB1ciI6ImJsb2JfaWQifX0=--10c76df39c43cfd717008d75af4e672f8a5985e6/step_1.png) ### Step 3: Use the search bar to find specific matches Type a caller or recipient name into the search bar on the right side above the table. As you type, the table will automatically filter to show only matches containing your search text. You can search by any part of a person's name or their reference number (for example, typing 'Carol' would show any matches where either the caller or recipient is named Carol). The search works instantly as you type, with no need to press Enter or click a search button. ### Step 4: Review your filtered results After applying filters or searching, the table updates to show only matching records. Each row displays the caller name, recipient name, match type (video camera icon for video calls, telephone icon for phone calls), recording status (microphone icon if recording is enabled, dash if not), and status badge (green for Active, red for Inactive). Below the table, you'll see a count showing how many matches are currently displayed. You can sort the table by clicking the column headers. ![Review your filtered results](https://help.together.ly/rails/active_storage/blobs/proxy/eyJfcmFpbHMiOnsiZGF0YSI6NzAsInB1ciI6ImJsb2JfaWQifX0=--918097ee18957b30f44cb9878a78e0799dcf3cc8/step_3.png) ### Step 5: Clear filters to see all matches To view all matches again, clear any text from the search bar by deleting the content. To include inactive matches, click the Filter button, uncheck 'Hide inactive', and click Apply. The table will refresh to show your complete list of befriending matches. Use the pagination controls at the bottom if you have more than 15 matches. ## Tips - The 'Hide inactive' filter is checked by default, so you'll only see active matches when you first open the page. If you're looking for a match you can't find, make sure to check if it might be inactive. - You can combine the filter and search features together - for example, uncheck 'Hide inactive' to see all matches, then search for a specific name to find both active and inactive matches for that person. - The search bar looks through both caller and recipient names, so you only need to remember one person's name to find a match. ## Summary Using the filter and search features on the Befriending Matches page helps you quickly find specific pairings or focus on active relationships. These tools are especially useful when managing a large number of befriending matches across your organization.
